Reiki for animals, to me is one of the nicest part of being able to give Reiki.
Although I must say it is not one of the easiest parts of Reiki..
To people we can explain what we are going to do and tell them to lie down and relax.
Animals are a whole different story.
They won’t stand still or lie down or are way to curious about what you are doing, but the effects are normally amazing.

Once they have found out what you can do, they simply love it.

I had 2 cats and 2 dogs and the first time I gave Reiki to one of my cats, I was as amazed as he was.
I laid my hands on his body and he literally dropped to his side.

Everybody who has pets, know they have expressions like us humans do and he looked at me in pure amazement about what I was doing.

After I had been initiated in the first degree, I wanted to use Reiki as much as possible and my pets where the lucky
guinea pigs.
One of my cats was not, what you would call a very social cat.
Although he would never ever try to hurt you in any way, he was not really into cuddling.
But ever since I have Reiki, every evening he crawled onto my lap and stayed there for about 15 minutes to receive his daily treatment of Reiki and after that he would climb on the sofa behind me and every once in a while he gently makes “paw contact” and snores away.

One of our dogs, Misty had a lump behind her right ear and I treated it with Reiki for 3 days in a row.
The 4th day I wanted to treat her I noticed the lump had totally disappeared.

My husband had to shoot crows every once in a while, because we literally had hundreds of them in the trees around the house and our oldest dog Odin didn’t react to the shooting at all, but Misty always got really scared.
She was shaking all over and trying to calm her had no effect what so ever.
I started to give Reiki her Reiki when Rob was shooting and although she didn’t calm down completely their was a world of difference between her behaviour with or without the Reiki.

Animals are very aware of energies around them, we all have heard stories about how pets react to things we cannot see, hear or feel. Their senses are much more developed then ours.
They will receive Reiki with pleasure but they set their own time limit to it, which I always respect.
I will never force them to receive it. They are living creatures and have rights as much as we do.

I have had my own horse, which unfortunately I had to sell in Holland, it was too expensive for me because of the lack of space, we had no fields of our own.
We also had a goat and chickens and I regret I never have been able to see what kind of effect Reiki would have had on them.

You can use Reiki for all animals and for all kinds of problems, from mental problems to physical problems.
But I strongly advise to always check with your veterinarian and use Reiki not as the main cure, but as a support to the normal medication.

I know about cases which normal medicine didn’t do as much as was hoped for and owners called for a Reiki therapist and the regular Reiki treatments did a lot of good.

Reiki can support any animal with for example

behaviour problems
lumps
wounds
sour muscles
back pains (especially helpful for horses)
and everything else that you can think of.

Reiki is not only for humans but for everything living, which includes plants as well, try to give your seedlings some Reiki and be amazed!

Or charge your drinking or bath water with Reiki, the ways to use Reiki are limitless and you can experiment all you want, because it can do no harm.

I am sure you can think of a few more ways to use Reiki and if you do ... let me know!Rosita
